"Most welcomed breakfast"
My family and I (2 grandparents, husband, 1 toddler, 1 baby with pram, dog and me!) went for breakfast here this weekend. We were very welcomed, the dog could come in and they made room for the pram. They got my son some colouring and crayons and the waitress spoke to him quite a lot. All the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. 3 of us had cooked breakfast (yum), my mum had lovely fluffy pancakes and bacon and my son had a croissant and Nutella. Thank you so much.
"First visit for lunch"
Lots of eating places in Tenby….but if you want something different ….and it to be nice….this is the place….!
Had been before in an evening visit but first for lunch….my partner lunches regularly here with various friends and raves about the macaroni cheese dish…..I went for the fish pie….wonderful choice …..the best I’ve had since I ate one in Cornwall last year (and I rated that one highly)….The Moorings’ beat it by a mile…!
Great value all round….!
"Brilliant little neighbourhood restaurant"
We’ve eaten here a few times with our 3 young children and have to say that each time dined it’s been fantastic. Superb friendly service, tasty and very fresh food, lovely calming atmosphere….what more can I say! We are now regulars here and recommend it to anyone visiting Tenby
"Excellent quality & high standards, standing out amongst Tenby’s offerings"
Visited just before Easter weekend so the restaurant was quieter than I imagine is the usual, so booking wasn’t necessary. The place has a nice atmosphere, efficient service and the menu had plenty to choose from – I had the duck main which was excellent. Being impressed with the evening here, we returned for breakfast in the morning which was equally as good. Compared to many of the other offerings in Tenby, the Mooring stands out above the rest with its high quality menu, also reasonably priced and catered well for my Gluten Free partner. Cheers!
Visited here three times already and can’t wait to go back.
Every time I’ve been here the food has been amazing! Try the smoked trout starter… You’ll have to keep putting your cutlery down to savour every mouth full.
Fish stew is another excellent choice, the flavours are just mind blowing. The portions are generous and the prices reasonable, especially for the quality of food
Service is also very good, which makes the place a definite must for a visit
Make sure you book as it is busy
"Great food, service and atmosphere"
Had a great meal with my wife, the food was cooked to perfection and there was a wine to compliment every dish on the menu. The staff were great, especially a young red headed waitress, she was attentive and had an answer to every question asked (admittedly we ask a lot of questions) Good waiting staff are worth their weight in gold!!!
When returning to the area we will definitely pay the mooring a second visit
And we've always had a passion for tasty, lip-smacking, going-back-for-seconds seasonal food.
Growing up, both our families appreciated lovely food. Whether it was Tom's mum's famous steak & kidney pie or Sarah's dad's legendary Sunday roast, there was always something in the oven or on the stove.
So when Tom trained as a chef and met Sarah (who just happened to love his cooking), there was already some pretty special common ground.
When we opened The Mooring, our aim was to keep things simple. Great, hearty cooking, using fresh ingredients sourced from as close to home as possible. Like wild garlic that we pick in our garden to make into pesto, or fabulously fresh crab that’s caught nearby and served in a matter of hours.
Oh, and our wine. In fact, there's not a lot that we don't like when it comes to food and drink, which is why we open in the morning and stay open until late, covering every meal of the day.
