"The best coffee in Tenby"
As the title says they serve the best coffee in Tenby. I had food there few times and it was fresh and delicious every time. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The Mooring is a real gem in Tenby.
We came to tenby for the ironman and found this place a wee hidden gem. We had coffee and cakes the first afternoon we arrived (which by the way is the best latte I’ve had in ages!!! Yummm) and we liked it so much went back for dinner the same day, and the following day and night. The food, service, pricing and atmosphere were out of this world. The owners were extremely friendly and their staff are all so helpful and accommodating. We will see you all next year for yet another ironman wales. If you are ever in standrews give us a shout. Thanks again. Claire and chris.
Sunday 7 September I fancied a Carvery. Nothing I found in Tenby appealed to me, as not being a fan of ‘Pub Grub’. I settled to have a Steak Meal and I am so glad I went to The Moorings. I could not have wished for a better meal. The steak was cooked to perfection and my instruction for rare or boarding on blue was absolutely presented first class The waiting staff, all very young ladies, were well organised and very attentive. I did manage to congratulate the Chef for presenting my steak just as ordered. This Restaurant must not be missed, it must be the best in Tenby and certainly not overpriced.
"One of the best risottos I’ve ever eaten"
On the first evening of our holiday in Tenby My dad, gran, sister and I enjoyed a fantastic meal here. My family all had fish dishes (plaice, hake and sea bream), and fish seems to be the speciality at The Mooring. Despite this, as a vegetarian, I still had a choice of two mains and my butternut squash risotto with sage crisps was one of the best risottos I have ever eaten – perfect in taste and texture. It is clear that despite being mainly a seafood restaurant, the same level of effort is made with vegetarian meals.
All four of us enjoyed our food and found the portion sizes to be VERY generous (we were glad we had decided not to have starters.) While this is a fairly expensive place to eat (mains are around £15) it is great value for the price and so definitely a good place to treat yourself on a special occasion.
Lovely atmosphere, prompt service and friendly staff too. Couldn’t fault it and will definitely be back next time we visit Tenby.
"Buoyed by the occasion!"
popped in on the off chance for an evening meal…very busy, but they found us a seat. Nice Merlot & Rose House wine, very pleasant girls serving. Partner had the evening special – Spaghetti with clams – delish. I had King Prawns. excellent. Quck efficient service. very friendly place.
